(Question and Answer)
The red square at the center draws the eye through its color and connects to the ultramarine square below in a stepped formation. Although it is the center, it also becomes part of the imbalance within the composition. It pulls the surrounding elements toward itself, influences them, and demands their return.

The center in this work functions simultaneously as a chromatic focal point, a generator of color relationships with the surrounding forms, and a mediator between balance and imbalance. Through these interactions, it contributes to the resolution of the entire picture. In other words, this red square poses a question while at the same time offering an answer.

Within the fluctuation of Zensō (Pre-layer), the center is beginning to emerge— and as it does, it casts its questions while also providing their answers within the painting.
