Around 1982, influenced by Matisse, I began creating works by painting acrylic on paper and attaching those pieces to the surface. This was an attempt to relate the entire picture through vivid color, and the process of coloring and pasting paper became a rigorous way to examine color itself. This work was made about five years after I began working with paper.
Here too, the central square—though being eroded—remains the key element. The center is just beginning to emerge within the fluctuation of the Zensō (Pre-layer).

１９８２年ごろからマティスの影響から紙にアクリルで着彩しそれを貼りつける作品 を作り始めました。鮮やかな色彩で画面を関係付ける試み 紙を着彩して貼ることは色彩の厳密な検証に役立ちました。 これは紙を始めて 5 年ぐらいたってからの作品。 ここでも中心の四角が浸食されながらも要になっています。
前層の揺れの中で中心が生まれ始めています。
