This early attempt in my exploration of the “center” is a work structured around the theme of two centers, composed through variations of squares. It brings together the accidental tones of color and brushwork with the sharp edges cut by scissors and a knife, attempting a coexistence of these contrasting qualities.
With its heavy colors and forms, the work confronts the viewer frontally, and the two centers influence one another, guiding the gaze and generating both complexity and stability within the composition. It is a piece that demonstrates a multifaceted inquiry into the universal idea of the “center.”
Here, multiple centers begin to emerge simultaneously within the fluctuation of Zensō (Pre-layer), interfering with one another and creating the directional structure of the work.

『中心』の探求における初期の試みである本作品は、「二つの中心」を主題に、四 角のバリエーションで画面を構成した作品。
偶然生まれた色彩の調子や筆致と、鋏 やカッターで切られたシャープなエッジが共存する表現を試みました。重い色彩と形 で鑑賞者と強く対
峙する正面性を意識し、二つの中心が互いに影響しながら視線を 誘導し、画面に複雑な構成と安定を生み出しています。普遍的な「中心」への多角的 な探求を示す一作です。
ここでは、前層の揺れの中で複数の中心が同時に生まれ始め、 互いに干渉し
ながら構造の方向性をつくり出しています。
